Gonda: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath distributed study tables and personalised blessing letters to girl students at the Maa Pateshwari Temple complex on the occasion of Navratri and International Day of the Girl Child, highlighting the importance of education, values and girls’ empowerment.

The programme marked the achievement of the target of distributing one lakh study tables under the ‘Devipatan: Shiksha Ki Udaan’ campaign, aimed at providing students with a better environment for studying at home and helping them overcome resource-related challenges.

The Chief Minister personally handed over blessing letters to students, encouraging them to pursue their educational goals with hard work, dedication, discipline and determination. The initiative seeks to build students’ confidence and motivate them to work towards a brighter future.

The programme also highlighted the significance of girls’ education on International Day of the Girl Child. Education was emphasised as a key means of promoting self-reliance, strengthening confidence and ensuring equal opportunities for girls to realise their potential.

The initiative brought together the themes of Navratri, symbolising faith and strength, and the international observance advocating the rights and empowerment of girls. It sought to encourage students to set ambitious goals and contribute to the development of their families, communities and the nation.

Divisional Commissioner Durga Shakti Nagpal, Deputy Inspector General of Police Ashok Kumar Shukla, District Magistrate Vipin Jain, Chief Development Officer Himanshu Gupta and other officials from the Basic Education Department attended the programme.
