Amman: Indian wrestlers ended their campaign in the Under-17 Asian Wrestling Championship 2024 with an impressive tally of 11 medals, including four gold, two silver, and five bronze. The event was held in Amman, Jordan. Following the U-17 competition, the U-23 championship commenced.
The Indian women’s team dominated by securing all four gold medals including Dipanshi, Muskan, Rajnita and Mansi Lather.
Categories included Men’s and women’s freestyle, men’s Greco-Roman. Weight Divisions: 10 in each wrestling format per age group.
The previous U-17 & U-23 Asian Wrestling Championship was held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan in 2023. Indian wrestlers showcased exceptional talent, particularly the women who secured all gold medals, marking a successful campaign in the 2024 U-17 Asian Wrestling Championship.
