Veteran Actor Rakesh Pandey Passes Away at 77

Mumbai – Renowned film actor Rakesh Pandey, known for his extensive work in Hindi and Bhojpuri cinema, passed away on Thursday morning at the age of 77. He breathed his last at 8:50 am at Arogyanidhi Hospital in Juhu, Mumbai, where he had been admitted to the ICU. The cause of death was cardiac arrest.

Pandey is survived by his wife, daughter Jasmeet, and a granddaughter. His final rites were performed later in the day at Shastri Nagar crematorium.

A stalwart of Indian cinema, Rakesh Pandey made his acting debut with the critically acclaimed film Sara Akash and went on to feature in several notable Hindi and Bhojpuri films over the decades. Some of his memorable works include Mera Rakshak, Yehi Hai Zindagi, Ek Gaon Ki Kahani, Woh Main Nahin, Do Raha, Balam Pardesiya, and Bhaiya Dooj, among others.

His contribution to the film industry, marked by versatile performances and a dignified presence on screen, leaves behind a rich legacy cherished by colleagues and audiences alike.
