Lucknow: Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Goel Campus, celebrated Van Mahotsav Week from July 1 to July 7, 2025, with great enthusiasm and environmental commitment. A special assembly was conducted by both the Primary and Senior Wings, highlighting the importance of afforestation and ecological balance.
A significant highlight of the celebration was a plantation drive organized in collaboration with the Goel Group of Institutions, during which over 300 saplings were planted in and around the campus. The event was graced by Mr. Mahesh Agarwal, Chairman of Goel Group of Institutions, who delivered words of encouragement and stressed the role of youth in environmental conservation.
Dr. Rina Pathak, Principal of the school, addressed the gathering and shared her heartfelt thoughts:
“Van Mahotsav is a celebration of our bond with nature. It reminds us of our responsibility to preserve and protect the environment for future generations. I am immensely proud of our students and staff for their active participation in this noble cause. Let us continue to plant hope and nurture nature every day.”
The chief guest, Dr. Sanjeeva Nayaka, Chief Scientist at CSIR, inspired the students by sharing crucial insights into new government environmental policies. He emphasized that Uttar Pradesh is the first Indian state to launch such a massive afforestation campaign. He also spoke about the Prime Minister’s initiative LIFE (Lifestyle for Environment),a global movement uniting nations to adopt sustainable living.

The weeklong celebration successfully instilled a sense of environmental responsibility among students.
