Gonda: Darbar-e-Aaliya Meenaiya, a renowned Khanqah of eastern India, and its prestigious educational institution Jamia Ameerul Uloom Meenaiya, hosted Urs-e-Meenai and Jashn-e-Dastarbandi on Friday, September 25, 2026. The event was held under the patronage of Hazrat Jamal Meena Shah, Sajjadanashin of Darbar-e-Aaliya Meenaiya. During the ceremony, 20 Hafiz-e-Quran and 12 Qurra were honored with dastarbandi (turban-tying ceremony) and taj-poshi (crowning).
After Friday prayers, devotees were given the opportunity to view the sacred relics (Moo-e-Mubarak) of Prophet Muhammad, Hazrat Ali, Hazrat Imam Hasan, Hazrat Imam Hussain, and Hazrat Ghaus-e-Paak. A large number of devotees availed themselves of this honor.
Following Isha prayers, the Jashn-e-Dastarbandi gathering began with recitation of the Holy Quran. The keynote address was delivered by Hazrat Allama Mufti Muhammad Furqan Manzari Sahib Qibla of Bareilly, who spoke on the importance of Quranic education and urged Muslims to draw lessons from their glorious past. He also spoke about the virtues and status of Sarkar-e-Ghaus-e-Azam and emphasized the interconnection between the Khanqah, madrasa, and mosque.
Khatib-e-Hind Maulana Muhammad Muzakkir Khan, a teacher at Jamia Meenaiya, spoke about the status of the Auliya-Allah in light of the Holy Quran. Mufti Muhammad Naeem Amjadi Azhari, Head of the Ifta Department at Jamia Meenaiya, also addressed the gathering, highlighting the religious and social services of Ghaus-e-Azam and Hazrat Shah Jamal Meena, as well as their role in establishing and promoting educational institutions.
Four talented students of Jamia Ameerul Uloom Meenaiya showcased their skills through speeches in Urdu, English, and Arabic. Hafiz Najmul Huda conducted the proceedings.
The gathering also featured devotional poetry (kalam) presented by Ustad-ush-Shoara Hazrat Javed Siddiqui, Shair-e-Ahle Sunnat Hazrat Ambar Mashadi, Noor Ahmad Wahidi, and other maddahaan, which was well received by the audience.
The event concluded with a special prayer (dua) for the prosperity of the Khanqah, the Jamia, the nation, and Muslims worldwide.
The occasion was attended by Baba Fakir Mohammad, Qari Nisar Ahmad Meenai, Hazrat Maulana Syed Khaliq Ashraf, Allama Sufi Abdul Wahid, Dr. Layak Ali Khan, Qari Ilyas Mashadi, Ehsan Meenai, Tabrez Alam, Rafiq Meenai, along with teachers of Jamia Meenaiya, imams of mosques, prominent citizens of the city, and a large number of devotees.
