Progressive farmers and producers of agricultural equipment, seeds and chemicals will take part in the trade show to showcase their offerings
Lucknow: The second edition of the International Trade Show, set to take place in Greater Noida from September 25 to 29, will highlight the advanced agricultural practices of Uttar Pradesh. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, representatives from India and abroad will get a unique opportunity to experience the state’s agricultural innovations.
The trade show will serve as a platform for both farmers and manufacturers of agricultural equipment, seeds, and chemicals to showcase their offerings. Visitors will be introduced to the latest advancements in agricultural technology and practices from Uttar Pradesh.
Progressive farmers and agricultural companies from the state will have the chance to present their work on an international stage, making this a multi-regional event that brings the entire state’s agricultural prowess to one venue.
A dedicated 1,000 square meter area has been allotted to the Agriculture Department at the trade show. Participants will include representatives from agriculture, agricultural education, and related institutions, as well as the Mandi Parishad-Directorate of Agricultural Marketing.
Companies involved in the production of agricultural equipment, fertilizers, seeds, and plant protection chemicals will also take part in the event, contributing to a comprehensive showcase of Uttar Pradesh’s agricultural sector.
The Agriculture Department will have a significant presence at the upcoming International Trade Show, with more than two dozen Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) set to participate. These FPOs include three from Bulandshahr, two each from Bahraich, Mirzapur, and Shravasti, and one each from Ballia-Banda, Basti, Chandauli, Chitrakoot, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Hamirpur, Maharajganj, Saharanpur, Sant Kabirnagar, Siddharthnagar, Sultanpur, Aligarh, and Rampur.
In addition to the FPOs, the exhibition organized by the Agriculture Department will feature participation from companies involved in seeds, fertilizers, and agricultural equipment. Renowned firms such as Syngenta, Dayal Biotech, Omkar Agri Global Private Limited, IFFCO, KRIBHCO, Indian Potash Limited, and Kaveri Seeds Pvt. Ltd., among others, will showcase their products and innovations.
Under the leadership of CM Yogi, the Agriculture Department is set to play a crucial role in the upcoming International Trade Show. To ensure seamless coordination, the department has appointed nodal officers for various responsibilities related to the event.
The Additional Director of Agriculture Extension has been named the nodal officer for communication and coordination with the Agricultural Education and Seed Development Corporation. For the Market Council and Agricultural Marketing, the Director of the State Agricultural Production Market Council has nominated Additional Director-level or Deputy Director Agricultural Marketing officers as nodal officers.
The Additional Director of Agriculture, Seeds, and Fields has been designated the nodal officer overseeing seed-producing companies. The Joint Director of Agriculture, Fertilizer, will serve as the nodal officer for coordinating with fertilizer manufacturing companies participating in the trade show.
For companies involved in manufacturing agricultural equipment and drones, the Joint Director of Agriculture (Engineering) will act as the nodal officer. Additionally, the Additional Director of Agriculture (Agricultural Defense) has been assigned to oversee pesticides and agricultural defense chemicals.
In collaboration with IIT Kanpur, which has a dedicated wing for the application of new technology in the agriculture sector and related startups, the Additional Director of Agriculture Extension has been named the nodal officer to facilitate coordination.
