UP’s 360-Degree Transformation in Nine Years Makes State a Dream Investment Destination: CM Yogi

New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said the state has undergone a “360-degree transformation” over the past nine years, emerging as one of India’s leading and most promising investment destinations.

Addressing a roundtable meeting with CEOs and business leaders of leading companies during the UP-Japan Investment Meet 2026, the Chief Minister thanked investors for their growing interest in Uttar Pradesh and assured them of full government support in setting up and expanding their businesses in the state.

Yogi invited Japanese and other global investors to become partners in Uttar Pradesh’s growth story, assuring them that the government would ensure a smooth investment process without unnecessary procedural hurdles.

He said the state government was working continuously to make investment procedures simpler, transparent and time-bound, while simultaneously strengthening infrastructure, connectivity, ease of doing business and the availability of skilled manpower.

Government to Act on Investors’ Suggestions

The Chief Minister said the enthusiasm shown by industrialists and corporate leaders during the investment meet reflected their growing confidence in Uttar Pradesh.

He said suggestions and concerns raised by investors had been taken seriously by the state government and assured participants that practical issues would be examined and resolved through appropriate interventions.

“The government and its entire team are committed to creating an investment-friendly environment,” Yogi said, adding that investors would receive support at every stage of their projects.

Skilled Youth to Strengthen Industrial Growth

Highlighting Uttar Pradesh’s large young population, the Chief Minister said the state was focusing on skilling and upskilling its workforce according to emerging industrial requirements.

He said the availability of trained human resources would provide companies with a strong talent base while helping young people access new employment opportunities.

According to Yogi, the state is simultaneously upgrading infrastructure, connectivity and industrial ecosystems to keep pace with changing business requirements. These measures, he said, would directly benefit companies investing in Uttar Pradesh.

‘We Deliver What We Promise’

The Chief Minister stressed that his government believed in implementing commitments on the ground rather than limiting itself to announcements.

He said the transformation witnessed in Uttar Pradesh over the past nine years was visible in areas including law and order, infrastructure, connectivity, industrial development and investment policies.

“The change in the state is visible to investors as well,” he said, underlining the government’s emphasis on creating a predictable and business-friendly environment.

Yogi described the investment meet as an important platform for strengthening dialogue between the government and industry. Such interactions, he said, help the government understand the expectations and requirements of businesses while allowing investors to assess the opportunities and facilities available in the state.

He expressed confidence that rising interest from major industrial groups would bring fresh investments, generate employment and accelerate economic activity across Uttar Pradesh.

Japan Emerging as Long-Term Strategic Partner

Uttar Pradesh Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna said strong law and order, world-class infrastructure and investor-friendly policies had made Uttar Pradesh one of the country’s most promising investment destinations.

Addressing the UP-Japan Investment Meet 2026 at Taj Palace in New Delhi, Khanna said Japan was increasingly emerging not merely as an investor but as a long-term strategic partner in Uttar Pradesh’s development journey.

He said India-Japan relations were strengthening on the basis of shared values, common priorities and a broad strategic outlook. The participation of a large Japanese delegation, including Yamanashi Governor Kotaro Nagasaki, reflected growing confidence among Japanese businesses in Uttar Pradesh, he said.

Khanna identified the state’s strong law-and-order environment, improving connectivity, large consumer market, skilled workforce, policy-driven governance and rapidly expanding infrastructure as key advantages for investors.

He also highlighted the Nivesh Mitra platform, saying it had simplified business processes and helped accelerate the implementation of investment proposals.

The minister said Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s recent visit to Japan had further strengthened industrial and institutional dialogue between the two sides. New opportunities are emerging in sectors such as green hydrogen, automobiles, advanced manufacturing, technology, innovation and healthcare, he added.

Khanna said Uttar Pradesh viewed Japan as a trusted partner for sustainable and long-term growth and expressed confidence that the UP-Japan Investment Meet 2026 would take economic, industrial and institutional cooperation between the two sides to a new level.
