UP Deputy CM Keshav Maurya Slams Akhilesh Yadav, Calls SP a ‘Samaptwadi Party’

Lucknow – In a sharp political attack, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has hit out at Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav, accusing him of indulging in appeasement politics and disrespecting backward communities.

Taking to social media, Maurya said, “SP President Shri Akhilesh Yadav ji, you may insult or abuse me, but I will always use respectful words for you. However, remember, the people of Uttar Pradesh will respond to your politics of insult and appeasement.”

The Deputy CM further asserted that the backward and poor sections of society will “puncture the SP’s cycle” — referring to the party’s election symbol — and turn it into the “Samaptwadi Party” (a party headed for extinction). He added, “The truth is that you have never tolerated any strong leader from the backward community.”

Criticizing Yadav’s ‘PDA’ (Pichhda, Dalit, Alpsankhyak) pitch, Maurya dubbed it “Parivar Development Agency,” calling it a deception. “If you truly supported Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, your party would have expelled Abu Azmi by now — the same MLA who glorifies Aurangzeb,” Maurya said, questioning SP’s ideological stance.

The statement comes amidst rising political tensions ahead of upcoming elections, with both the BJP and SP stepping up their campaigns and rhetoric.
