UP CM Yogi Adityanath Holds Review Meeting with District Officials and Representatives in Bareilly

Bareilly – A review meeting of the Bareilly division was held  under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at the Vikas Bhavan Conference Hall. The meeting was attended by division officials, local representatives, and other concerned authorities.

Division Commissioner Soumya Agarwal briefed the Chief Minister about the region’s progress, highlighting several developmental achievements. Notably, a 25-kilometer fencing project in the Pilibhit Tiger Reserve has been completed. Additionally, between 2022-2024, twelve aspirational development blocks in the division were awarded by both the central and state governments for achieving specific benchmarks. In Bareilly, 18 astronomical observatories have been established, while in Shahjahanpur, the “Girls Can Do” program is being successfully run. Both Bareilly and Pilibhit have made significant progress in controlling communicable diseases.

The meeting also addressed law and order, with IG Dr. Rakesh Singh providing an update on various security initiatives, including family counseling centers, Operation Conviction, gangster operations, NDPS (Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances), pigeon fraud (fraudulent international recruitment), the Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act, and traffic management.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the importance of resolving pending revenue disputes, which can lead to unnecessary conflicts and law and order issues. He instructed officials to expedite the resolution of long-standing cases to ensure justice for the public.

The review of the TB eradication campaign also took center stage, with the Chief Minister urging all elected representatives to take responsibility for TB patients in their constituencies, ensuring regular health checks, the provision of nutrition packages, and boosting their morale.

On the topic of the Smart City project, the Chief Minister sought details about the ongoing developments in Bareilly and asked which initiatives could be showcased as models at the state level. He directed that a comprehensive land record be prepared for all available government land in Bareilly, which will then be handed over to the development authority. Additionally, he emphasized creating a more unified and organized government office setup under one roof to improve efficiency and accessibility.

In addition to urban infrastructure, the Chief Minister reviewed the progress of Nath Nagri’s development and took stock of temple renovations. The regional commissioner reported that four entrance gates to Nath Nagri have been completed.

The review also covered the Chief Minister’s Youth Entrepreneur Development Scheme. He stressed that banks should expedite loan approvals and explore alternative institutions to ensure timely funding for eligible candidates.

The Chief Minister then addressed the ongoing Jal Jeevan Mission, ensuring that clean drinking water reaches every household to prevent diseases. He stressed the timely resolution of road cutting issues during the execution of water supply projects, threatening penalties and blacklisting contractors for delays.

On wheat procurement, the Chief Minister advised the district officials to coordinate with farmers and ensure that necessary facilities such as seating, water, and affordable canteens are available in the markets.

During the meeting, various representatives raised local issues. Among the requests were the construction of roads, bridges, bus stands, and hospitals. Notably, the demand for a 300-bed hospital in the region was met with a positive response from the Chief Minister, who instructed the creation of a comprehensive plan that combines mental health services with super-specialty facilities.

Other issues addressed included the progress of the Integrated Command Center, the installation of CCTV cameras under Operation Trinetra, and the need for improved traffic management through an Intelligent Traffic Management System. Additionally, the Chief Minister reviewed the progress of the Safe City initiative, urging the use of CCTV for crime prevention.

The meeting concluded with a thorough discussion of the region’s challenges, with the Chief Minister instructing the concerned departments to remain proactive in their approach and to ensure that every project meets its deadlines.
