Unlocking new Scientific frontiers

A ten-day advanced workshop on advanced practical training in rumen microbiology techniques in the Animal Nutrition Department of the Indian Veterinary Research Institute concluded. 20 trainees from different states of the country namely Rajasthan, Punjab, Bihar, Orissa, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand participated in this training. This workshop was sponsored by Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), New Delhi, Department of Science and Technology.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Joint Director of the institute, Dr. K.P Singh, described this course as important. He said said that in these ten days you have acquired knowledge about many technologies, especially about the techniques of research work in rumen microbiology. This knowledge will play an important role in your research and career in future.

Dr. Singh called upon the students that you are a young scientist and you have the ability to learn, take full advantage of it by participating in such training programs and share your new research and ideas. Regarding animal nutrition and faculty members, Dr Singh said that we have modern resources and we have experienced scientists, take advantage of their experiences.

Congratulating the participants, course director Dr. Anju Kala said that during this period, 43 lectures and practicals were also given to the participants.
