U.P. CEO urges voter friendly approach

Lucknow: Important steps are being taken so as to ramp up voting patterns in this General Elections 2024. Uttar Pradesh is no exception. In order to provide further impetus to voter awareness related activities under Voter Education and Voter Participation Programme, Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa organized an interaction through video conferencing. He met the District Election Officers, Sveep officials for the remaining five phases of Lok Sabha General Election-2024. He discussed with the Nodal Officer and other concerned officials regarding increasing the voting percentage.

Speaking at the meeting, he said arrangements for shade should be ensured at polling stations as far as there is a queue of voters. To ensure that voting is not affected, there should be uninterrupted power supply at polling stations. He said that voters should be treated well and helped in voting. To ensure that voters do not have to wander here and there to vote, necessary arrangements should be made at each polling station along with signage for information about the polling station.
