Traffic Crackdown in Lucknow: Dozens Fined in Budheshwar for Rule Violations

Lucknow:  In a strict enforcement drive aimed at improving road safety, the city police intensified action against traffic violators in the Budheshwar area under the leadership of DCP Raveena Tyagi and Traffic Inspector Devesh Shahi.

The special campaign, led by TI Devesh Shahi, focused on streamlining traffic movement and curbing road accidents. During the drive, police teams conducted extensive checking and took action against motorists violating key traffic rules.

Over six dozen vehicles were challaned for offences such as riding without helmets, triple riding on two-wheelers, and other violations of traffic norms. The campaign was carried out with active participation from the traffic police team across the Budheshwar locality.

Officials also used the occasion to spread awareness, urging commuters to strictly follow traffic rules for their own safety. Police emphasized that riding without a helmet is not only a legal offence but also poses a serious risk to life.

TI Devesh Shahi reiterated that strict action will continue against violators, warning that leniency will not be shown to those endangering public safety.

The intensified enforcement created a sense of caution among motorists, with many seen adhering to rules amid the crackdown. Authorities believe such sustained drives will significantly improve traffic discipline and reduce accidents in the area.
