Tap water will reach every house in Bundelkhand, Vindhya region within 47 days

Lucknow: Tap water will start reaching rural houses of all districts of Bundelkhand and Vindhya region within 47 days. Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh has given 47 days’ time to the engineers to provide tap water to all rural houses of Bundelkhand and Vindhya region.

Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh directed that the work of Har Ghar Nal Yojana should be completed 100 percent in all the districts of Bundelkhand and Vindhya region before September 30. These instructions were given by the Jal Shakti Minister in a review meeting held after the inauguration of the new office of Swachh Ganga Mission at Rana Pratap Marg on Monday. During this, Minister of State Ramkesh Nishad, Principal Secretary Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Anurag Srivastava, MD Jal Nigam Rural Rajshekhar were present. Action will be taken against BGCC working slowly in Jhansi, Jalaun, the guilty will go to jail

Expressing displeasure over the BGCC company working at a slow pace in Jhansi, Jalaun, the minister has directed strict action soon.

During the review meeting, the Jal Shakti Minister expressed displeasure over the slow pace of Brij Gopal Construction Company working in some parts of Jhansi and Jalaun and directed action against the company. On this occasion, Principal Secretary Anurag Srivastava said that the functioning of the agency will be investigated and the culprits will be sent to jail. Apart from this, engineers and agencies were reprimanded for the slow pace of work in Sonbhadra as well. He said that pay attention to the quality and speed of the project. Otherwise be ready for action. In the review meeting, the Executive Engineer of Sitapur, Prayagraj was also reprimanded. Engineers were instructed to improve their conduct and work culture. The minister said that if any complaint is received against any engineer for withholding bills, then immediate action should be taken against him.

If the road is found dug after the completion of the pipeline work, action will be taken against both the engineer and the agency

The Jalshakti Minister instructed the engineers and agencies that wherever digging is done for laying the pipeline, the road repair work should be completed immediately after the work is over. The minister said that if a pit is found at the places where work is going on for one or one and a half years, then action will be taken against the culprits. If any agency shows arrogance in road repair, it will go to jail. There should not be any shortage of manpower in road repair.

Immediate action should be taken on complaints of public representatives- Principal Secretary

In the review meeting, Principal Secretary Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Department Anurag Srivastava directed all Chief Engineers and Executive Engineers to give complete information about the progress of the projects to the public representatives. Whatever complaints come from the public representatives, immediate action should be taken on them. He said that the concern of the public representatives on the digging done for laying the pipeline is justified. Roads should not be found dug up after laying the pipeline anywhere.

If water supply is disrupted, action will be taken against engineers and agencies

In the review meeting, Principal Secretary Anurag Srivastava gave strict instructions to the officers and agencies and said that in whichever parts of the state water supply has been started. If there is any kind of disruption or water is supplied without chlorine, then the concerned officers and agencies will be responsible for it. Strict action will be taken against them.

He said that surprise inspections will be done from time to time to check the status of water supply. If water supply is found disrupted anywhere, strict action will be taken on the spot. The Principal Secretary said that in the villages where solar has been installed, regular water supply should be ensured there under all circumstances. Engineers posted in the districts, representatives of agencies and TPI were present in the review meeting.
