Lucknow– The Sunrise Durga Puja Committee celebrated Durga Puja at Sunrise Apartments from September 27 to October 2, 2025, marking the only traditional Durga Puja event in the society this year.
The celebrations, led by Director Tapan Mukherjee and President Rajiv Sinha, included detailed briefings on the different steps of the Puja and cultural programs that embraced residents from diverse communities, reflecting a multilingual and multicultural spirit.
Themed decorations and 22 specialty stalls, curated by convener Barun Bhattacharjee, offered a variety of treats for visitors. The festivities reached their peak during Mata ki Chowki and the Dandiya night on the final day, featuring cultural performances by society children and senior residents alike. Students from Swarnim Public School delivered a glittering performance, while the committee felicitated all participants with medals and certificates.
On Navami, the Antarashtriya Hindu Parishad, led by Gaurav Dwivedi, performed the Astra Puja. A blood donation camp was also organized, adding a socially responsible dimension to the celebrations. Bhog Prasad was served to all visitors daily, enhancing the spiritual experience.

Prominent attendees included Rajiv Mishra (Upadhyaksh BJP), Jiten Singh (Upadhyaksh BJP), and Manas Mitra (IT Cell In-Charge, BJP), who participated in the Aarti and assured their continued support for future events.
Finance Secretary Ramnath Rastogi highlighted the committee’s budget and acknowledged the challenges faced in organizing the festival. Female volunteers were specially commended for efficiently managing the event.
Overall, the Sunrise Durga Puja Committee successfully combined traditional rituals with cultural festivities, offering an enjoyable and inclusive experience for all residents and visitors.
