Amethi: Congress candidate from Amethi Lok Sabha seat Kishori Lal Sharma has defeated his nearest rival Bharatiya Janata Party’s strong leader and Union Minister Smriti Irani by 1,20,461 votes. Kishori Lal Sharma has got 4,05,161 votes, while Smriti Irani has got 2 lakh 84 thousand 700 votes. Now discussions have started in the district about the stupendous performance of Kishori Lal. However, the victory has not been confirmed by the Election Commission yet.
Congressman Kishori Lal Sharma also said that until the counting of votes is completed, I do not consider myself a winner. This is the victory of both the people of Amethi and the Gandhi family. I am a common worker of the Congress party. The way Rahul and Priyanka and National President Kharge came for me and held meetings, my morale has increased. If I win despite adverse circumstances, it is the victory of the people here and the Gandhi family. On the tweet, Kishori Lal Sharma said that this is the greatness of Priyanka and Rahul. They have given me the status of a brother. Speaking further, he said that I have learnt a lot from Rajiv ji. I have been with this family continuously. I have worked here with honesty.
