Lucknow: Defending champions Speed Chargers began their Lucknow Golf League 2025 campaign with a thumping win and blanked Capital Mulligators 5-0 at the Lucknow Golf Club here. The Chargers produced clutch performance as they won three games on the final hole. In the day’s other match, Ramswaroop Tigerz almost matched the Chargers as they beat GS Express 4.5-0.5 with the veteran’s game finishing all square.
The Chargers started with a bang as they won the veteran’s nine hole game with a perfect 5&4 scoreline courtesy Manoj Kapoor & Rajesh Narain. Divij Narain & Nitin Khanna followed that up with a 2 Up win while Aman Tandon & Aditya Pratap Singh won 3 & 2 in the middle game. Skipper Sushant Mira & Capt Ajay Chauhan came out tops in a tight fourth game while the anchor game was even closer with Milind Sharda & Aadi Jain piping Dhruv Goyal & Bubly Nanda 1 Up with a 5 on the final hole.
Ramswaroop Tigerz also started with an inspired performance as Pankaj Agarwal & Adesh Seth got their first full point on the board with Dinesh Kumar Singh & Devesh Gupta winning 1 Up. The final two games saw the Tigerz win 8 Up as Faisal Asad Hussian & Akshay Singh coming home with 7 to play and Iqbal Mobashir Kidwai & Sanjive Gupta coming home with 6 holes to play.
The winning teams from today top the Group A leaderboard as all teams have played atleast one round of games.
