Lucknow: Travel fintech company Scapia and private sector lender Axis Bank have launched the Scapia Axis Bank Credit Card, aimed at India’s growing community of digital-first travellers seeking to combine payments, travel bookings and rewards on a single platform.
The co-branded card has been designed around the idea of turning everyday spending into travel benefits. Through the Scapia app, cardholders will be able to track and manage their expenses, discover and book travel, and redeem rewards for flights, hotels, visas, experiences, shopping and other travel-related services.

The card will be available on both Mastercard and RuPay networks, with customers able to choose their preferred network through a single application. It carries no joining fee or annual fee, while international transactions come with zero forex markup.
Under the rewards programme, cardholders can earn up to 10% rewards on eligible everyday spending outside the Scapia platform. Eligible travel bookings made through the Scapia app can earn up to 20% rewards in the form of Scapia Coins. These coins can subsequently be used for travel bookings and other eligible services available through the platform.
Scapia founder and CEO Anil Goteti said the partnership with Axis Bank marks an important step in the company’s expansion and reflects the changing travel habits of younger consumers.
He said Scapia was built around the idea of giving travellers a single digital destination where they can spend, plan trips, make bookings, shop for travel-related products and earn rewards. According to Goteti, Scapia users have already used the platform while travelling across more than 175 countries, and the partnership with Axis Bank is expected to help extend its reach to a wider customer base across India.
Axis Bank Group Head, Cards, Payments and Wealth Management, Arnica Dixit said the partnership reflects the bank’s focus on developing digital products aligned with evolving consumer and travel needs.
She said combining Axis Bank’s expertise in payments with Scapia’s travel ecosystem would create an experience extending beyond a conventional co-branded card. The objective, she added, is to provide customers with greater convenience, flexibility and value throughout the travel journey, from discovering destinations and planning trips to booking and experiencing them.

The card also offers a range of airport-related benefits, including access to select airport lounges, dining and premium retail benefits. International travellers will additionally have access to Scapia’s zero-forex-markup proposition and smart forex features aimed at providing greater visibility and control over overseas spending.
The entire onboarding and card-management process is digitally integrated into the Scapia app. The platform also features a curated travel store bringing together travel-oriented brands and products.
Mastercard India and South Asia President Gautam Aggarwal said the partnership comes at a time when travel is emerging as one of the rapidly expanding segments of India’s consumer economy. He said travellers increasingly expect payment solutions that are convenient, secure and widely accepted globally.
NPCI Executive Director, Growth, Sohini Rajola said the RuPay network has played an important role in expanding digital payments in India. She noted that eligible RuPay credit cardholders can link their cards to supported UPI apps and make payments at merchants using UPI QR codes.
The partnership brings together travel-focused rewards and benefits with the reach of the RuPay network, potentially giving a wider customer base access to travel-related rewards and experiences.
For Scapia, the launch marks its third banking partnership and represents another step in expanding its travel platform across India. For Axis Bank, the collaboration strengthens its co-branded card strategy while expanding its presence in the rapidly growing digital payments and travel segments.
Onboarding for the Scapia Axis Bank Credit Card began on September 3, 2026.
