Mumbai: Actor Sachin Parikh, who is currently seen in Vasudha as Prabhat Singh Chauhan, has been in the industry for quite a long time. Along with films like PK, Paa, Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji, Aligarh, Loveshhuda, and Main Atal Hoon, among many others, he has also been a part of several popular TV shows such as Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Jahan Pe Basera Ho, Bepanah Pyaar, Ek Deewaana Tha, and Pishachini.
Apart from these, the talented actor has also worked on two international projects. Sharing details about them, he says, “The first was a Swedish series called The Most Beautiful Hands of Delhi, which was originally a Swedish series, but its English version streamed worldwide on Netflix from 2017 to 2020. It was directed by the famous Swedish director Hannes Holm, who was Oscar-nominated for his Hollywood film A Man Called Ove. I played an important character, Vivek Malhotra, a Delhi-based business tycoon. The series was very popular in Sweden and performed very well on Netflix.”
Talking about his second project, he says, “It was an American film called 55, starring Emraan Hashmi. I played a police inspector in the film. The film was based on child trafficking and the mafia. Its world premiere took place at BIFF (Busan International Film Festival). The film was directed by Hollywood director of Indian origin Shyam Madiraju, who has produced and written films like Eden and Cake.”
Sachin shot both projects in India. The Swedish series was filmed in Delhi, where the entire cast and crew came from Sweden. Suhasini Mulay and Joy Sengupta were also part of the project.

When asked about his experience, Sachin shared, “Wonderful. It was different. They definitely have a much more organised way of working. The director from Sweden had one tradition — during the shoot, he would give one scene to the actor to improvise, and he wouldn’t cut until the actor finished performing. That was one of the best experiences I had while shooting with Hannes Holm.”
Indian actors are often seen getting very little screen space in international projects. Sharing his thoughts on this, Sachin says, “I feel the character should be important. We have seen many Indian actors doing prominent roles in Hollywood and international films. Actors like Irrfan Khan, Randeep Hooda, and Om Puri have all played significant parts in international projects. I would love to explore something on international platforms. I am currently in talks for an international project. Let’s hope it works out.”
