Vice-Chancellor Chairs High-Level Meeting to Ensure Smooth and Grand Conduct of Convocation
Bareilly: Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University (MJPRU), Bareilly, has intensified preparations for its upcoming Convocation Ceremony scheduled for August 4, 2026, with a comprehensive review meeting chaired by Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.P. Singh.
The meeting was held in the conference hall above the Vice-Chancellor’s office and brought together key university officials and members of various committees constituted for the successful organization of the prestigious academic event.
Among those present were Controller of Examinations Dr. Anil Kumar Yadav, Registrar Mahendra Singh, Finance Officer Vinod Kumar, Dean Academics Prof. S.K. Pandey, Chief Proctor Prof. Ravindra Singh, along with conveners and members of all convocation-related committees.
Detailed Review of Preparations
During the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor sought detailed updates from committee conveners regarding the progress of their assigned responsibilities. Discussions covered all major aspects of the convocation, including:
- Reception and hospitality arrangements
- Venue preparation and stage decoration
- Discipline and security management
- Distribution of degrees and medals
- Accommodation for guests and dignitaries
- Media coverage and public relations
- Sound and technical arrangements
- Live online broadcasting
- Medical and emergency services
- Coordination with district administration
- Other logistical and operational requirements
Each committee presented its progress report and outlined measures being taken to ensure seamless execution of the event.
Focus on Contingency Planning
Prof. K.P. Singh directed all committee heads to perform their duties with utmost seriousness and adhere strictly to timelines. Taking into account weather forecasts indicating the possibility of rain during the event period, he instructed officials to prepare comprehensive contingency and emergency arrangements in advance.
He emphasized that alternative plans should be kept ready to address any unforeseen weather-related challenges and ensure that the dignity, discipline, and smooth conduct of the ceremony remain unaffected under all circumstances.

Addressing the participants, Prof. Singh described the convocation as a matter of great pride for the university.

The meeting was attended by the Registrar, Controller of Examinations, Finance Officer, Dean Academics, Chief Proctor, faculty deans, committee conveners and members, along with other senior administrative officials.
With less than a month remaining before the ceremony, the university administration has begun finalizing arrangements to ensure that the 2026 Convocation Ceremony is conducted with efficiency, dignity, and academic grandeur befitting one of the region’s leading higher education institutions.
