Rohilkhand University Hosts ‘A Voice of Youth: Rohilkhand Youth Parliament 2026’

Bareilly: The Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University successfully organised “A Voice of Youth: Rohilkhand Youth Parliament 2026” at the Prof. S.B. Singh Auditorium, Department of Business Administration, under the aegis of PM-USHA.

The event aimed to provide a democratic platform to young minds in line with the vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047: Empowered Youth, Empowered India.” It encouraged participants to engage in meaningful dialogue on national issues and develop leadership and communication skills.

The programme drew inspiration from Uttar Pradesh Governor and University Chancellor Anandiben Patel, while Vice-Chancellor Prof KP Singh, as chief patron, motivated students to play an active role in nation-building.

Forest and Environment Minister Dr Arun Kumar Saxena attended as the chief guest and urged youth to adopt responsible citizenship and contribute towards environmental conservation.

Convener Prof Tulika Saxena highlighted that such initiatives help nurture leadership qualities, logical thinking, and effective communication among students. The event also saw the presence of Dean of Student Welfare Dr PB Singh, Prof Sanjay Mishra (Patron and PM-USHA Coordinator), and co-convener Dr Saurabh Verma.

Guest speakers including Prof Alok Srivastava, Dr Vinay Khandelwal, Harish Kumar, and Sanjeev Kumar guided participants on key national and social issues.

The judging panel comprised Prof Vandana Sharma, Prof Amit Singh, and Prof VK Gupta, who evaluated the participants as they simulated parliamentary proceedings with impressive articulation and debate skills.

Top performers including Gauri Srivastava, Vaishnavi Srivastava, Anamatha Javed, Laxmi Gupta, Vinayak Sharma, Anurag Singh, Ashita Nair, Yash Parashari, and Devvrat Argvanshi were felicitated for their outstanding participation.

The event was efficiently coordinated by faculty members Vaishali Vishwakarma, Pushpendra Maurya, and Neha Katheria, while the proceedings were conducted by student anchors Aditi Saxena, Alameen Naqvi, and Vaishali Vishwakarma. Mohammad Inam Khan presided over the session as Speaker of the Youth Parliament.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and distribution of certificates to all participants. Organisers described the event as a successful initiative to promote democratic values and inspire youth to contribute towards building a stronger nation.
