Bareilly: The Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University celebrated Navratri with enthusiasm through ‘Nav Utsav’, organised by the department’s cultural committee, Navtarang, on Friday. The event was held under the inspiration of Vice-Chancellor Professor Anil Kumar Rai and witnessed active participation from students across all academic years and faculty members.
The programme was attended by Vice-Chancellor Dr A.K. Rai, Dean Dr Archana Gupta, department head Anil Kumar Singh, and faculty members, including Dr Ajay Yadav and Dr Deepak Gangwar.

The celebrations began with an engaging dance performance, setting a festive tone. The highlight was a traditional Dhunuchi dance associated with Durga Puja in Bengal. The captivating performance showcased India’s rich cultural heritage and received an enthusiastic response from the audience. A group dance presented by department students further enlivened the occasion.

Various games and recreational activities were also organised, encouraging interaction and participation among students from different academic years. The activities promoted teamwork, cooperation and a sense of unity within the department.
Nav Utsav served as more than a cultural celebration, offering students an opportunity to showcase their talents, connect with Indian traditions and strengthen relationships beyond the classroom. The event also highlighted the importance of cultural activities in fostering creativity, inclusiveness and the all-round development of students on campus.
