Bareilly — A review meeting on schemes run by the Basic Education Department was held yesterday at the auditorium in the Collectorate, chaired by District Magistrate Avinash Singh.
During the meeting, the District Magistrate directed that since the Nipun Bharat Mission affects the CM Dashboard ranking, a separate meeting be held on the subject, with the Principal of DIET also included in it.
All Block Education Officers were instructed to continue inspecting schools in view of the ongoing rains. Regarding the Electricity Department, he directed that high-tension lines passing near schools be removed at the earliest.
The Basic Education Officer was directed to focus more on enrolling new children under the School Chalo Abhiyan. He said the funds provided to parents’ accounts for free uniforms, shoes, socks and bags for children should be made available on time, with no negligence permitted at the district level, and that parents should also be encouraged to purchase uniforms and related items. He added that the government is making continuous efforts to secure children’s futures and that no laxity would be tolerated in this regard.
All Block Education Officers were further directed to keep inspecting schools regularly and to issue certificates of appreciation to headmasters performing well in their schools.
Basic Education Officer Vinita, District School Inspector Ajit Singh, and all Block Education Officers were present on the occasion.
