Ayodhya: Jhoolan Utsav is being celebrated in Ramnagari Ayodhya, which will continue till August 19. For this festival, 10 artists of Vrindavan have prepared a swing of gold and silver. Its cost is about two crore rupees. 140 kg silver and 700 grams of gold have been used in it. Today Ramlala will sit on this swing with his four brothers in the Sadan.
A crown prepared in Gujarat has also come to Ramnagari Ayodhya for this festival. The design of the crown is based on South Indian tradition. The crown is made of silver and has a gold layer on it. The crown is decorated with ruby, emerald and diamond.
Mahant Jagadguru Ramanujacharya Swami Raghavacharya of Ramlal Sadan told that in Treta Kaal, many types of sanskars were given to Lord Ram and his four brothers in Ram Sadan itself. It is believed that all the four brothers including Shri Ram were named here. This temple is 300 years old, which was given a grand look as per the demand of time. This temple is located just 150 meters away from Ram Mandir in Ramlala Darshan Marg Mohalla Ramkot.
Ramanujacharya Swami Raghavacharya said that Lord Shri Ram, his three brothers along with Mata Janaki will be seated on this swing made of gold and silver. The saints of Ayodhya will swing this swing and after this there will be a program of bhajan singing here. During worship, special types of garlands are worn by the Lord.
