Ruby’s Husband Ram Sagar Secures Job at Ashok Leyland
Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh stated that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched the Zero Poverty Scheme to improve the living standards of the poorest families in the state. Under this initiative, the government has identified 25 lakh families and aims to increase their annual income to at least ₹1,25,000 per household by providing them with various benefits under government schemes.
As part of this campaign, Ruby’s family from Silouli village in Gosainganj, Lucknow, was selected as the first beneficiary under the scheme. On Thursday, the Chief Secretary handed over a job offer letter to Ruby’s husband, Ram Sagar, from Hinduja Group’s Ashok Leyland company.
The Yogi government has allocated the land of the now-closed Scooter India plant in Sarojininagar to the Hinduja Group for the establishment of an electric bus manufacturing facility. The plant is expected to commence operations within a year. Hinduja Group advisor S.K. Chaddha mentioned that Ram Sagar would receive one year of training before starting work at the plant, with his training beginning immediately.
Ram Sagar to Receive Salary Along with Additional Allowances
Ashok Leyland Lucknow’s project head, Shakti Singh, revealed that over 12,000 youth from Uttar Pradesh would be employed in the new plant, with Ram Sagar being one of the first hires. The company’s HR head, Saurabh Sajwan, assured that Ram Sagar has been offered a competitive salary package along with several value-added allowances.
In addition to his base salary, Ram Sagar will receive a house rent allowance (HRA), a monthly bonus, a uniform allowance, and free meals at the company’s canteen. Moreover, he will benefit from a provident fund (PF) provision, which includes Employee State Insurance (ESI) coverage.
Equivalency Certificate Course to Enhance Ram Sagar’s Education
Since Ram Sagar has limited formal education, he will be enrolled in an equivalency certificate course, as per the Chief Secretary’s directives. This course, run by the Government of India, allows individuals like Ram Sagar to gain formal education from Class 5 to Class 10 without attending school and obtain a certification for further career growth.
Additionally, under the UP Skilled Scheme, Ram Sagar will be provided with an apprenticeship opportunity. This will not only enhance his skills but also provide him with a monthly stipend of ₹1,500. The Zero Poverty Scheme is proving to be a game-changer, bringing hope to families like Ruby’s and promising a future free from economic hardships for lakhs of people in Uttar Pradesh.
