Rahul Gandhi files nomination from Wayanad

New Delhi: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi filed his nomination papers from Kerala’s Wayanad for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. During the nomination, Rahul Gandhi was also present along with his sister and Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

Rahul Gandhi is the current MP from this seat. In the 2019 elections, he had won here by a huge margin of more than four lakh votes.

Before filing nomination, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi did a road show. Along with Rahul Gandhi during the road show, apart from Priyanka Gandhi, AICC General Secretary KC  Venugopal and Deepa Das, Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee working president MM Hasan and many party leaders  were present.

Addressing the people during the road show, Rahul Gandhi said that it is an honor for me to be the MP of your area. I don’t treat you like a voter and don’t think of you that way. I treat you and think about you the same way I think about my sister Priyanka Gandhi.

Rahul Gandhi further said that I have sisters, parents and brothers in the houses of Wayanad and I thank you wholeheartedly for this.

BJP state unit president K. Surendran and Communist Party of India (CPI) leader Annie Raja are in the fray  facing Rahul Gandhi from Wayanad Lok Sabha seat. Voting for the Lok Sabha elections will be held in Kerala on 26 April.
