Gonda: The Uttar Pradesh Unaided School Management Foundation on Wednesday submitted memorandums across all four tehsils of Gonda district, urging the state government to extend the cashless healthcare scheme available to government school teachers to teachers working in private unaided schools.
At the district headquarters, Foundation District Vice-President Khemchand handed over a memorandum to District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan. Similar representations were submitted to the Sub-Divisional Magistrates in other tehsils by office-bearers of the organisation.
The campaign was led by District General Secretary Aishwarya Priyadarshi in Mankapur, Ashok Tiwari and Sunil Mishra in Tarabganj, and State Coordinator S.P. Gupta in Colonelganj. Memorandums were also submitted in the remaining tehsils of the district.
In the memorandum, the Foundation requested that teachers employed in private unaided schools be provided the same cashless medical treatment facilities as those available to teachers in government schools. The organisation said extending the benefit would ensure equal access to quality healthcare for educators serving in the private education sector across Uttar Pradesh.
According to Foundation representatives, officials at the tehsil level assured them that their demand would be forwarded to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for consideration.
Among those present during the submission of the memorandum were S.P. Gupta, State Coordinator; Khemchand, District Vice-President; Pankaj Bharti, District Media In-charge; Dr. Ashok Shukla, District Advisor; Aishwarya Priyadarshi, District General Secretary; Neelam Prakash Pathak, Abhishek Singh, Anil Kumar Pandey, Ajay Kumar Verma, Rajesh Kumar Khanna, Indramani Verma, Balram, Buddh Prakash Maurya, Parvez Alam, Javed Alam, Jagdish Lekhak, Satya Prakash Maurya, and several school managers.
