Noida: Continuous efforts are being made to make Noida recognised as a ‘dynamic city’ and to strengthen its branding as not only an industrial city but also a modern city with advanced urban amenities.
In this sequence, a task force will be formed to identify ‘vibrant cultural space’ in Noida and speed up its development process. The New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (NOIDA) has started the process in this sequence and has started the selection of knowledge partner, the completion of which will speed up the formation of the task force.
It is worth mentioning that various officers of the authority and district level will also be included in the task force. This task force will complete tasks like progress report of the work going on various projects, monitoring, creation of database by compilation of details, finding investment opportunities, developing tourist attractions and increasing the creativity of the region.
A government official said that Noida is an important component of the National Capital Region (NCR), which plays an important role in supporting industrial development and global trade. Despite its many advantages, Noida faces some challenges associated with emerging or ‘planned cities’. In such a situation, its challenges will be overcome and it will be branded as a vibrant, self-reliant and livable urban community, which will focus on increasing the quality of life.
Preparation to develop selfie points
The branding of Noida will not be limited to the industrial city, but Noida will be branded as a ‘dynamic city’, which will focus on its young generation based population, modern civic amenities and a city with modern amenities. Here the focus will be on developing tourist attractions, developing selfie points, marking these places, speeding up the necessary development and construction work there and branding it.
Work will start from the third week of September
The task force will work as an integrated implementation wing. Through this, an action plan for branding Noida will be prepared, which will be named Action Plan. It will be based on completing activities like shared vision for the city, identification of unique local character, identifying pride points of Noida and promoting them at various levels. It will be shared with the authority and district administration as an integrated strategy, after which the implementation process will begin. During this, focus will also be on public engagement, business and investment opportunities and tourism promotion. It is believed that work on this project will start from the third week of September.
