Bareilly: Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University (MJPRU), Bareilly, has announced that counselling for admission to the M.Sc. Physics programme for the 2026-27 academic session will be held on July 20, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. at the Department of Physics.
Head of the Department Prof. Saleem Khan urged all eligible candidates to attend the counselling session on the scheduled date and time with their original academic certificates, mark sheets and other required documents.
Highlighting the importance of the programme, Prof. Khan said physics forms the foundation of modern science and technology. The M.Sc. Physics curriculum is designed to provide students with strong theoretical and practical knowledge while offering opportunities for interdisciplinary research in emerging fields such as quantum technology, nanotechnology, materials science, astrophysics, energy science, biophysics and data science.
He noted that the programme prepares students for careers in national and international research institutions, industries, higher education and technology sectors. With rapid technological advancements, sustainable development initiatives and innovation-driven research, the demand for skilled physics professionals continues to grow.

Candidates have been advised to bring all original mark sheets, certificates and other necessary documents at the time of counselling. The department also clarified that candidates who fail to attend the counselling session on the scheduled date will automatically forfeit their claim for admission.
