Bareilly: Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University (MJPRU), Bareilly, has delivered an impressive performance in the prestigious India Today-MDRA Rankings 2026, reaffirming its commitment to academic excellence and institutional quality at the national level.
Several academic programmes of the university secured notable positions in both national and state-level rankings, bringing pride to the university community and further strengthening its reputation in higher education.
Key Achievements
The university’s Engineering Programme secured 29th rank nationally and emerged as the second-ranked public state university in Uttar Pradesh in its category. The achievement reflects the institution’s sustained progress in technical education, research and innovation.
The BMS/BBA Programme was ranked 115th nationally and secured the second position among public state universities in Uttar Pradesh, highlighting the university’s strong academic framework and industry-oriented management education.
Similarly, the Hotel Management and Catering Programme achieved the 50th rank nationally and stood second among public state universities in Uttar Pradesh, reinforcing the university’s growing stature in hospitality and tourism education.
University authorities attributed the success to the visionary leadership and continuous guidance of Uttar Pradesh Governor and Chancellor Anandiben Patel, whose efforts toward enhancing quality in higher education have played a significant role in strengthening academic standards across institutions. The university also acknowledged the support and guidance provided by Raj Bhavan officials through regular academic monitoring and institutional development initiatives.
