MJPRU Reviews Preparations for August 4 Convocation, Sets July 31 Deadline for Committees

Bareilly: Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University (MJPRU), Bareilly, has stepped up preparations for its Convocation Ceremony 2026, with Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.P. Singh chairing a high-level meeting of committee convenors to review the progress of arrangements for the event scheduled on August 4, 2026.

The meeting was held at the Ministerial Staff Association Hall on the university campus and brought together heads of various committees responsible for organising the prestigious academic event.

During the review, Prof. Singh directed each committee to present a status report on its assigned responsibilities and instructed officials to complete all pending work within the stipulated timeline. Stressing the importance of meticulous planning, he said every aspect of the ceremony must be conducted with transparency, efficiency and dignity, leaving no room for lapses.

Describing the convocation as the university’s most significant academic event, the Vice-Chancellor said it celebrates the achievements of graduating students and reflects the institution’s commitment to academic excellence. He urged all officers and staff members to work in coordination and discharge their responsibilities with dedication and discipline.

Committee convenors briefed the Vice-Chancellor on preparations related to stage management, venue construction, guest reception, security, media coordination, student participation, degree distribution and cultural programmes. Prof. Singh fixed July 31 as the deadline for completing all preparatory work to ensure the smooth conduct of the ceremony.

“The convocation is the highest celebration of our students’ academic journey. It symbolises their hard work and dedication while showcasing the university’s academic standards. I am confident that every committee will fulfil its responsibilities sincerely, making this year’s convocation a memorable, well-organised and exemplary event,” the Vice-Chancellor said.

The meeting was attended by Registrar Mahendra Kumar Singh, Controller of Examinations Dr. Anil Kumar Yadav, Dean Academics Prof. S.K. Pandey, Dean of Student Welfare Prof. Vinay Rishiwal, along with senior faculty members, administrative officers and committee convenors.
