Lucknow: A ‘Mission LiFE Awareness Programme and Quiz Competition’ was successfully organized at Goyal Institute of Technology and Management in collaboration with CSIR–National Botanical Research Institute. The event was conducted under the joint aegis of the Department of Biotechnology and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC).
The programme was held as part of the NBRI–Environmental Information, Awareness, Capacity Building and Livelihood Programme (NBRI-EICAP), supported by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.
The event commenced with a Saraswati Vandana followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The institute’s Director, Dr. Rishi Asthana, graced the occasion along with distinguished scientists from NBRI, including Dr. Pankaj Kumar Srivastava and Dr. Anju Patel, who attended with their team.
During the session, experts shared insights on crucial topics such as environmental conservation, climate change, soil health, and sustainable development. They encouraged students to adopt environmentally responsible practices in their daily lives.
Under the leadership of Dr. Asthana, students and faculty members also took a pledge to promote environmental protection and sustainable development.

A quiz competition held as part of the programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students. Vaishnavi Sinha (third year) secured the first position, followed by Sakshi Yadav (third year) in second place and Vaibhav Singh (first year) in third place. The winners were awarded certificates in recognition of their achievement.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Kanchan Bhatt from the Department of Biotechnology, expressing gratitude to the guests, speakers, organizing committee, faculty members, and students for their contribution to the programme’s success.
