Gonda: The Maa Pateshwari Shakti Samvad initiative, being implemented under the guidance of the Commissioner of the Devipatan Division, is emerging as an effective platform for the timely resolution of women’s grievances. The programme has strengthened public confidence by ensuring that complaints are investigated impartially and resolved within stipulated timelines through coordinated action by the concerned departments.
One of the complaints received during the public hearing pertained to Bahraich district. Following an inquiry, the district administration found that an income certificate issued during 2025–26 had been granted in violation of prescribed norms. Proceedings have been initiated to cancel the certificate, while departmental action has also been launched against the concerned revenue official. Other allegations made in the complaint were found to be unsubstantiated, and a detailed report has been submitted to the Commissioner’s office.
In Gonda district, the Food and Civil Supplies Department acted on the complaint of Nanka Devi, a resident of Gram Panchayat Mei Pathak. After verification, she was found eligible and issued a six-member Priority Household ration card, resolving a long-pending issue related to access to subsidised food grains.
Another complaint, filed by Ramlali of Shahjot village in Karnailganj tehsil regarding inheritance records, was also examined. The inquiry established that the succession process had already been completed in accordance with the applicable rules following her husband’s death. During the investigation, the complainant expressed satisfaction with the existing records and confirmed that she had no further grievance, leading to the closure of the case.
In a separate matter from the urban area, a complaint lodged by Manupriya regarding a roadside drainage chamber was resolved amicably through the joint efforts of the police and district administration. The complainant later informed the City Magistrate over the telephone that the issue had been settled and that she did not seek any further action.
Officials said the initiative reflects the administration’s commitment to not only receiving public complaints but also ensuring prompt investigation, transparent action and effective resolution. The Maa Pateshwari Shakti Samvad programme is increasingly serving as a reliable forum for women to access justice, administrative support and grievance redressal, while reinforcing trust in the government’s public service delivery mechanisms.
