Lucknow decks up for Chhath Puja festivities

Lucknow: Under the leadership of National President of All India Bhojpuri Samaj, Prabhunath Rai, the 40th Chhath Mahaparva is going to be organized on 7th and 8th November 2024 at Chhath Ghat Laxman Mela Ground, Gomti Ghat.

Preparations for the Chhath Puja program are going on in full swing.

A.K. Sharma, Minister of Urban Development and Energy, Uttar Pradesh, attended the Chhath Ghat to inspect all the works related to the preparation of Chhath Puja and took stock of all the preparations.

Under the joint supervision of All India Bhojpuri Samaj and Municipal Corporation Lucknow, the work of proper cleaning of Chhath Ghat Laxman Mela Ground was done.  Anil Singh (IAS) Special Secretary, Home Department, Uttar Pradesh and  Akhand Pratap Singh, Senior IAS were also present in the cleaning campaign.

All the officials of All India Bhojpuri Samaj and the concerned officers and employees of the District Administration, Municipal Corporation, Lucknow Development Authority and other departments are constantly in touch and reviewing the preparations on how to celebrate Chhath Puja in a grand and divine manner.

On the 7th at 4:00 pm,  Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Government will come to Chhath Ghat Laxman Mela Ground, Gomti Ghat, Lucknow and perform Ardh. Along with him,  Keshav Prasad Maurya, Deputy Chief Minister,  Brajesh Pathak, Deputy Chief Minister, Surya Pratap Shahi, Agriculture Minister,  Bhupendra Chaudhary, State President of BJP,  Dharmpal, Organization General Secretary, Swatantra Dev Singh, Jal Shakti Minister,  Mayor Sushma Kharkwal, Senior BJP Youth Leader Neeraj Singh,  Anand Dwivedi, Metropolitan President of BJP Lucknow and other respected guests will participate in the Chhath Puja program.

About 150 artists are coming to this program who will present a cultural program for 18 hours continuously from 2:00 pm on November 7 to 7 am on November 8. The worship of Lord Shani has been going on since ancient times. Chhath Puja started in Bihar. Gradually it has spread all over the world.

Bhojpuri people took this culture wherever they went and Chhath Puja is being celebrated in almost half the world. Chhath Puja is the worship of Lord Shani.  By worshipping him, man remains healthy.

All women fast for the long life of their husband, son. All the materials used in this are in the number of 6, 12, 24. And this social harmony is also seen in this puja. People from every section of the society stand together and worship Lord Shani.

On this special occasion, National General Secretary of Bhojpuri Samaj Manoj Singh, National Secretary Ved Prakash Rai, National Treasurer and Culture Cell President Hanuman Yadav, National Vice President Ramratan Yadav, State General Secretary Sanjay Singh, National Vice President PN Tiwari  and others were present.
