Lucknow: Labour Day celebrations marked with poetry, shayari, music, and cultural performances were organized by Media Photographers Club in the city. The event, initiated years ago by the club’s founder late S. M. Pari, was coordinated this year by Manju Srivastava along with club members.
The programme began in the presence of chief guest Sanyukta Bhatia and special guest Govind Narayan Shukla. Floral tributes were paid to late senior photographer S. M. Pari before the formal inauguration of the event.
The evening commenced with a Ganesh Vandana presented by Riddhima Srivastava, followed by a semi-classical dance performance. The cultural gathering witnessed an engaging blend of poetry and shayari coordinated by Muralidhar Ahuja, Rizwan Khan, Ranganath Tiwari, Abhishek Mishra, Adil Pari, Khursheed Khan, and Divyansh Srivastava.
The literary session was presided over by Dr. Khanna Wasif Farooqui, while Mukul Mahan conducted the programme. Poets and writers including Ram Prakash Bekhud, Sanjay Mishra Shauq, Nadeem Farooq, Mohammad Ali Sahil, Shakeel Gayavi, Moin Alvi, Dr. Praveen Rahi, Abhishreshtha Tiwari, Dr. Sudha Mishra, Dr. Sarla Sharma, Anupam Srivastava and Shivansh Pandey captivated the audience with their diverse literary compositions and received enthusiastic applause.
A large number of members and guests associated with the Media Photographers Club attended the programme, making the Labour Day celebration a memorable cultural evening dedicated to literature, creativity, and social harmony.
