La Mart Junior School Investiture Ceremony 2026 Upholds Legacy of Leadership and Excellence

Lucknow: The La Mart Boys  Junior School Investiture Ceremony 2026, held on April 11, unfolded as a grand and dignified celebration of leadership, responsibility, and cherished institutional traditions. The occasion was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Salil Tandon, whose ceremonial arrival, escorted by the school’s equestrian team, NCC contingents representing the Army, Navy, and Air Force, and accompanied by the Brass and Pipe Bands, set an impressive tone for the event.

The proceedings commenced at 9:00 a.m., seamlessly conducted by Master of Ceremonies Mrs. Lizabeth Clarke. The venue, adorned with elegant blue and gold décor and floral arrangements, reflected meticulous planning and enthusiasm. The presence of Principal Gary Everett, Head of the Junior School Clover Everett, the Senior Management Team, and faculty members added to the ceremony’s significance. The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the candle, followed by a prayer led by Ms. Roselyn Morris, invoking a sense of solemnity and grace.

Welcoming the gathering,  Clover Everett eloquently highlighted the importance of nurturing leadership qualities in young learners. The highlight of the ceremony was the investiture of 31 students who were entrusted with key leadership roles as captains and prefects. Junior School Captain Shakti Sharma and Vice-Captain Mohammad Arhaan took the oath of office, administered by the Principal, pledging their commitment to uphold the values of the institution.

Subsequently, the oath for other office bearers, including Sports Captain Zaid Mustafa, Cultural Captain Mohammad Ibraheem Farooqui, Assistant Cultural Captain Jaivardhan Singh Negi, Choir Captain Viraj Ohdedar, and Choir Monitor Lakshya Tandon, was administered by Mrs. Clover Everett. House prefects from Cornwallis, Hodson, Lyons, and Martin Houses also pledged their duties under the guidance of their respective house in-charges, marking a proud moment for all participants.

The newly appointed Junior School Captain, Shakti Sharma, led the gathering in the National Pledge and delivered an acceptance speech, expressing gratitude and a deep sense of responsibility. The school choir’s soulful rendition of “Open the Eyes” added a musical highlight to the ceremony.

Addressing the audience, Dr. Salil Tandon emphasised the vital role of education in shaping future leaders and encouraged students to lead with integrity and purpose. The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by the Principal, followed by the benediction, College Song, and National Anthem. The event ended on a celebratory note with a tea gathering at the Principal’s lawn, leaving a lasting impression of pride and inspiration.
