At the same time, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, while addressing a press conference in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, reacted to India’s position on the Russia-Ukraine war.

On the reports of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Ukraine (PM Modi Visit to Ukraine), the Foreign Minister said, “I want to tell what is the Indian view about the conflict in Ukraine. We have always believed that problems between countries cannot be resolved through war and the conflict between the two countries has deepened in the last 2.5 years.”
He also referred to the recent meetings between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Italy as well as PM Modi’s visit to Russia.
The External Affairs Minister further said, “Recently PM Modi met President Zelensky on the sidelines of the G7 in Italy. A few weeks later PM Modi visited Russia. India is in touch with its counterparts.
