Lucknow: Panic gripped Lucknow’s Gomti Nagar area after a man was shot near SRS Cinema following an altercation between two friends. The victim, identified as Shivansh, sustained a bullet injury near his shoulder.
According to police sources, the argument escalated quickly, leading to the firing. Shivansh was immediately rushed to the hospital by the police, where doctors confirmed that he is out of danger and currently under medical observation.
DCP East Shashank Singh, along with Gomti Nagar police, reached the spot soon after the incident and initiated an investigation. The accused, Manish, has been taken into custody and is currently being interrogated.
Police are probing the motive behind the heated exchange and whether there was any prior enmity between the two individuals. Heavy police presence was maintained in the area to ensure calm. Further details are awaited as the investigation progresses.
