Kyiv: Amid discussions of war and peace, the Ukrainian Army has launched a fierce offensive against Russian forces following a green signal from the United States. While Vladimir Putin’s troops are focused on regaining control of the Kursk region, Ukraine’s forces have intensified their attacks on Russian soldiers. In the past 72 hours, a staggering 3,930 Russian soldiers have been killed in combat.
According to a report by The Kyiv Independent, Ukrainian forces eliminated 1,300 Russian soldiers on March 11, 1,430 on March 12, and 1,200 on March 13, bringing the total casualties to 3,930 in just three days.
A heated debate between former U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy took place at the White House on March 1, leading to a temporary halt in the U.S. sharing intelligence with Ukraine. Due to the lack of intelligence support, the Ukrainian Army was fighting but was unable to inflict significant damage on Russian troops.
Now, with intelligence support restored, Ukraine’s forces are eliminating 55 Russian soldiers per hour, a sharp increase from the previous rate of 40 soldiers per hour when intelligence support was unavailable.
Ukraine Destroys 15 Russian Tanks in Three Days
Ukraine’s military reports that it has destroyed 15 Russian tanks over the past three days. President Zelenskyy is focusing on targeting Russia’s artillery systems and tanks to weaken Moscow’s ground warfare capabilities.
890,000 Russian Soldiers Killed So Far
According to the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, a total of 890,000 Russian soldiers have been killed since the war began. However, Russia has not released any official figures regarding its casualties. Reports indicate that the Russian military is heavily relying on private armies and incarcerated prisoners to fight the war.
Additionally, around 20,000 North Korean soldiers are reportedly deployed on the Russian frontlines. The war has also resulted in the destruction of 10,292 Russian tanks, 370 planes, and 331 helicopters.
Ukraine’s Guerrilla Warfare Tactics
In an attempt to weaken Putin’s forces, Ukraine is employing guerrilla warfare tactics. Recent reports suggest that Ukrainian troops have been releasing beehives into Russian bunkers to disrupt enemy operations.
