Lucknow — GRP Head Constable Shivpoojan Chaudhary was felicitated on Monday for his bravery after he saved a woman passenger from a major accident at Raebareli railway station.
The incident occurred on August 6 when the woman lost her balance while boarding a train and began falling between the platform and the train. Chaudhary, who was on platform duty at the time, acted immediately and pulled her to safety.
In recognition of his courage and humanitarian act, DGP Railways Prakash D. presented Chaudhary with a commendation certificate and a cash reward at the GRP Headquarters in Lucknow.
The felicitation ceremony was held in the presence of senior officers including IG RK Bhardwaj.
DGP Prakash D. praised Chaudhary for his presence of mind and dedication to duty, saying such acts uphold the core values of the Railway Police.
