Grand Tableau of Lord Shiva Adorns Narmadeshwar Mahadev Temple on Mahashivratri

Lucknow – On the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, a magnificent tableau of Lord Shiva was displayed at the Narmadeshwar Mahadev Temple in Nirala Nagar, a revered shrine upheld by four generations. Inspired by the grand Mahakumbh of Prayagraj, the tableau depicted Lord Shiva taking a dip in the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers.

The temple’s chief priest, Abhishek Agarwal, performed ritualistic worship in the presence of scholars, offering bel leaves, Gangajal, milk, ber, and flowers to Lord Shiva. Devotees began arriving for darshan and prayers at 5 AM, and the influx of worshippers continued until midnight.

The temple rituals were led by Acharya Ramakant Mishra, while the tableau of Shiva immersing in Prayagraj’s sacred waters was meticulously crafted by Pawan Kumar. Renowned devotional singer Sanjay Mishra and his group enchanted the audience with soul-stirring bhajans, including “Shivji Bihane Chale Palki Sajaike”, “Shiv Ki Baraat Aayi Hai, Shivnaam Japne Ki Raat Aayi Hai”, and “Mera Bhola Hai Bhandari”. Devotees joyfully swayed to the music.

A thandai seva was organized by Subhash Singh, ensuring the distribution of refreshing thandai and fruit prasad to over 1,500 devotees. The sacred water from Prayagraj’s Sangam was personally arranged by Abhishek Agarwal for the occasion.

The temple was exquisitely adorned with garlands of various flowers, enhancing its divine beauty. Vibrant multicolored lights illuminated the temple, adding to the grandeur of the celebration.
