Ayodhya: Ayodhya is set to witness a grand celebration of Ram Navami at the Ram Temple on April 6. One of the key highlights of the occasion will be the Surya Tilak of Ram Lalla, a ceremonial ritual where the deity will be adorned with a solar anointment.

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has begun preparations to ensure a spectacular Ram Janmotsav. Devotees from across the country and around the world will be able to witness the event virtually, including the Surya Tilak, adornment, and anointing of Ram Lalla. Ram Lalla will also be offered 56 varieties of delicacies as part of the grand celebration.

Detailed Schedule of Events

According to Dr. Anil Mishra, trustee of the Ram Temple, the schedule for the celebrations has been finalized. The temple doors will open for darshan in the morning, followed by the anointment of Lord Ram at 9:30 AM, which will continue until 10:30 AM. After a brief closure, the deity will be adorned from 10:30 AM to 11:50 AM, followed by the offering of the 56 bhog. At precisely 12:00 noon, Lord Ram’s birth will be celebrated with the Surya Tilak ceremony, which will last for four minutes. The entire event will be broadcast live, with LED screens placed across key locations by the Information Department to ensure devotees can witness the event.

Cooling Arrangements for Devotees

In light of the summer heat, the temple authorities have made special arrangements for devotees visiting the Ram Temple. Free prasad will be distributed at the Angad Teela complex. Additionally, matting has been laid along the darshan path, and 200 water taps have been installed to ensure devotees remain hydrated. To provide relief from the heat, coolers will be installed at various points along the darshan route.

Spiritual Recitations and Decorations

During the Ram Janmotsav, daily recitations of Valmiki Ramayana and Ramcharitmanas will take place within the temple premises. Special rituals will also be conducted at the yajna hall. At the Angad Teela complex, renowned storyteller Atul Krishna Bharadwaj will narrate the Ram Katha. The temple complex will be adorned with exquisite decorations and lighting, while the entrance of the Ram Janmabhoomi Path will be beautifully decorated to enhance the festive spirit.

With extensive preparations underway, Ayodhya is gearing up for a grand and divine celebration of Ram Navami, drawing devotees from all corners to witness this historic event.
