Dharampur, Gujarat: Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani and Adani Foundation Chairperson Dr Preeti Adani visited Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur (SRMD) in south Gujarat on Sunday during Navratri, seeking the blessings of Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshji and exploring opportunities to strengthen collaboration in social service initiatives.
Sharing his experience on social media platform X, Gautam Adani wrote that he and his wife spent meaningful moments with Gurudevshri at the Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram and received his blessings. He described performing charan prakshalan at the world’s tallest statue of Shrimad Rajchandraji as a deeply moving spiritual experience.

During the interaction, Gurudevshri emphasised that spiritual practice and service complement each other. He highlighted the importance of using one’s life, resources and opportunities for the larger welfare of society.
Gautam and Dr Preeti Adani also attended a satsang at Raj Sabhagruha, the mission’s meditation and spiritual discourse centre. Gurudevshri spoke about the purpose of human life and the significance of spiritual practice. Gautam Adani additionally interacted with young members of the mission, including students and professionals from diverse academic backgrounds who are contributing to various social initiatives.
Dr Preeti Adani visited the Shrimad Rajchandra Sarvamangal Centre of Excellence for Women, where she interacted with tribal women benefiting from programmes in skill development, livelihood generation and entrepreneurship. She also visited the Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital and Research Centre and participated in the distribution of assistive medical devices to children with disabilities. During the visit, she offered prayers to Lord Mahavir at the mission’s Jin Mandir.
The visit also included discussions on potential collaboration in humanitarian and healthcare initiatives. Gautam Adani expressed interest in exploring opportunities to work with Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care (SRLC), the mission’s humanitarian service wing. Dr Preeti Adani discussed possible support for its vision care initiative, an area aligned with the Adani Foundation’s social development activities.

Spread across 355 acres, Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram serves as the international headquarters of the mission, which was founded by Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshji in 1994. The organisation now operates more than 142 centres across six continents.
Inspired by the teachings of Jain spiritual master Shrimad Rajchandraji, whom Mahatma Gandhi regarded as his spiritual guide, the mission focuses on inner transformation through knowledge, meditation and selfless service.
Its humanitarian wing, Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care, works across healthcare, education, humanitarian assistance, animal welfare and environmental protection. The organisation says its initiatives have positively impacted millions of lives worldwide.
Gautam Adani has undertaken several visits to prominent religious sites this year, including Ayodhya, Kolkata’s Kalighat and the Jain pilgrimage site at Taranga Hills in north Gujarat. On May 1, he and Dr Preeti Adani also visited Kedarnath Dham to mark their 40th wedding anniversary.
The Dharampur visit brought together spiritual reflection and discussions on social welfare, highlighting potential avenues for cooperation between the Adani Foundation and the mission’s humanitarian initiatives.
