The auspicious time for the inauguration of the doors was held in the office of Shri Panch Gangotri Temple Committee. Committee Chairman Harish Semwal and Secretary Suresh Semwal held a press conference and informed about the time fixed for opening the doors.
The auspicious time for opening the doors of Gangotri Dham has been determined on the day of Navratri in Chaitra month. Eid moon not visible on Tuesday, Eid will be celebrated on April 11. The doors of Kedarnath Dham will open on 10th May at 7 am and the doors of Badrinath Dham will open on 12th May at 6 am in Brahmamuhurta. The state government has started preparations for the Chardham Yatra. This time too, it will be mandatory for the pilgrims coming on the yatra to register.
