District Basic Education Officer Amit Kumar Singh performs “bhoomi pujan”; school staff present
Gonda — A foundation-laying and bhoomi pujan ceremony was held on Saturday at Primary School Parade Sarkar in Jhanjhari development block, marking the reconstruction of the school’s main building. The program began with District Basic Education Officer Amit Kumar Singh performing the bhoomi pujan (land-worship ritual) according to traditional rites. The entire school staff was present on the occasion.
Speaking at the foundation-laying ceremony, Amit Kumar Singh said a school is a temple of learning, where children, under the guidance of teachers, lay the foundation for their future and move forward on the path of progress in life with new ideas. He described the reconstruction of the school building as important for the children’s welfare.
District Coordinator for Integrated Education Rajesh Singh said the school’s original building was in a dilapidated condition, and its complete reconstruction was necessary to ensure children’s safety and a better learning environment.
The program was also attended by District Coordinator for Mid-Day Meal Ganesh Gupta, Anand Singh, and Manoj Kumar Chaturvedi, a science teacher at Upper Primary School Belwa Nohar, along with the school’s teaching staff. The chief guest was welcomed by the school’s teachers with a bouquet and floral garland.
At the conclusion of the program, Headmistress Reena Yadav, along with Neha Tiwari, Anamika Mishra, Sushila Yadav, Seema Devi, Lavisha Ghawri, and Shiksha Mitras Pratima and Jyoti Singh, expressed their gratitude to the chief guest and other dignitaries by presenting them with mementos.
