Every artist enjoys that attention, that pressure and that recognition: Deepakk Dutta

Mumbai: With notable projects such as Daadi Ki Shaadi, M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, Dil Kabaddi, Bhagat Singh, Haasil, Madhosh, and Abhay to his credit, actor Deepakk Dutta believes that the pressure that comes with fame is not something to shy away from, but rather a reflection of the recognition every artist aspires to earn. He views public attention as a privilege rather than a burden and credits his family for standing by him and supporting him through the most challenging phases of his career.

He said, “If you ask any artist about the pressure of fame and attention, they will tell you that it is a good kind of pressure. Every artist spends their entire life working towards that fame. They want that recognition, and with fame comes a certain amount of pressure, that is part of the whole journey. You want that pressure.”

He wishes this particular kind of pressure upon every artist. He said, “In fact, I would pray to God that every artist gets to experience it because a person spends their entire life craving that attention, working hard for it and striving to achieve it. And when it finally comes, that pressure is actually a good pressure. You have to embrace it, and you have to love it.”

He didn’t hold back when it came to actors who claimed otherwise. He said, “If you ask any actor and they say, ‘I don’t like the attention or the pressure,’ then, forgive me, but they are probably lying. Every actor enjoys that attention, that pressure and that recognition. It is something they have worked their entire lives for.”

Turning to what carries him through the harder stretches of his career, he pointed straight to home. He said, “Tough times are a big part of an artist’s life. And when you are going through those difficult phases, the biggest support and help comes from your family and friends.”

“Ultimately, your family is the one that stays with you and goes through the struggle alongside you. Whether it is your parents, your wife or your children, they all experience that journey and those struggles with you,” he added.

He was clear that without that support system, success would be nearly impossible to sustain. He said, “I feel that without their support and encouragement, no one can truly succeed. They keep you motivated and emotionally uplift you.”

“They constantly give you that emotional push and strength, and without that, it becomes very difficult to achieve anything. So, I would give all the credit to my family. In my case, especially to my wife and my son,” Deepakk ended.
