Actor Sameer Patil, who essays the role of Gopal in Tumm Se Tumm Tak, produced by Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah’s Studio LSD, believes that genuine emotional connection between actors plays a huge role in creating memorable moments on screen. Known for bringing sincerity and emotional depth to his performances, Sameer recently opened up about the importance of friendships on set, maintaining professional boundaries, and what his character Gopal has taught him personally.
Sharing his thoughts on the value of emotional understanding between co-actors, Sameer said that chemistry cannot be forced and often comes naturally when actors are emotionally tuned into one another. “Emotional connection with the co-actor gives you a very natural instinct to react in a scene and that helps in creating the chemistry of two characters,” he shared.
According to the actor, comfort and trust between artists often elevate performances and make scenes look far more authentic to audiences. He explained that when actors genuinely enjoy working together, their bond automatically reflects on screen. “Camaraderie and friendship make it natural,” he added.
Over the years, Sameer has formed several meaningful friendships in the industry, and while speaking about the people he shares a close equation with currently, he fondly mentioned, “Right now I can say about Sharad, Nasir bhai and Somaji.”
Despite strong off-screen friendships, Sameer strongly believes in maintaining professionalism while working. He highlighted how respect and maturity among actors help maintain a healthy environment on set. “We all are very experienced actors, and we are always very particular about personal and professional boundaries. We have mutual respect and it takes care of everything,” he explained.
The actor also agreed that strong off-screen bonding often translates into stronger performances because actors feel more relaxed and emotionally available during scenes. In emotionally driven shows like Tumm Se Tumm Tak, such comfort becomes especially important while portraying intense family dynamics and heartfelt moments.

Talking about the kind of roles he connects with the most, Sameer revealed that he enjoys portraying characters that have emotional realism and relatability. “The role which has got a human side allows us to explore deeper emotional connection,” he said, adding that such characters leave a lasting impact not only on viewers but also on actors themselves.
Interestingly, Sameer shared that every role teaches him something valuable in life. Reflecting on his character Gopal, he revealed that the role made him appreciate emotional bonds within families even more deeply. “We always take away something or other from our roles. As from Gopal I have learnt the importance of a father daughter relationship,” he shared emotionally.
Describing himself as someone who connects easily with people, Sameer admitted that he is naturally warm and approachable. “Yes. I am a very friendly person,” he said when asked whether he opens up easily or takes time to trust others.
Like many actors juggling hectic shooting schedules and personal commitments, Sameer believes that maintaining relationships requires conscious effort and balance. Sharing his mantra for managing both aspects of life, he concluded, “By dividing my time equally between my professional commitments and personal relationships, it helps me maintain the balance.”
