Sultanpur: District Magistrate Indrajeet Singh chaired a meeting of the District Sports and Promotion Committee at Pant Sports Stadium on Tuesday in the presence of Chief Development Officer Vinay Kumar Singh. The meeting focused on strengthening sports activities in the district, enhancing facilities for athletes, and promoting a vibrant sporting culture through coordinated efforts of sports associations and government departments.
During the meeting, office-bearers of various sports associations and officials from different departments presented their suggestions for the development of sports infrastructure and athlete welfare. Emphasizing the importance of regular coordination, the District Magistrate proposed that such review meetings be held twice every month to ensure effective implementation of sports-related initiatives.
To improve facilities at the stadium, the District Magistrate directed officials to explore the installation of CCTV cameras across the sports complex and make arrangements for water coolers for athletes and visitors. He also proposed the formation of a dedicated suggestion committee that would prepare and submit proposals aimed at upgrading sports infrastructure and encouraging greater participation in sports activities.
Chief Development Officer Vinay Kumar Singh also interacted with representatives of sports associations and departmental officials, inviting recommendations for expanding sports facilities and creating better opportunities for emerging athletes. He stressed the need for collective efforts to nurture sporting talent and strengthen the district’s sports ecosystem.
The meeting highlighted the administration’s commitment to promoting sports at the grassroots level and ensuring that athletes receive the support and facilities necessary to excel in their respective disciplines.
