Lucknow: Lucknow’s Charbagh Railway Station is undergoing rapid development as authorities expedite its redevelopment process. On Friday, a crucial meeting was held between the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Northern Railway and the state administration to discuss key aspects of the station’s transformation.
The meeting was attended by Northern Railway’s DRM S.M. Sharma, Additional District Magistrate (City) Amit Kumar, City Magistrate G.C. Gupta, and ACP (Kaiserbagh) Ratnesh Singh. The discussions focused on strengthening coordination between the railway and state authorities to ensure the seamless execution of redevelopment projects.
Key topics covered during the meeting included the beautification of the station, improving entry and exit points from the main road to the station premises, and formulating new policies to enhance passenger facilities. Both parties agreed to collaborate closely, with the state government assuring full support for all structural development works at Charbagh Railway Station, including the first and second entry points.
Following the discussions, officials conducted a joint inspection of the station premises and finalized the roadmap for implementing various projects. Senior railway and state government officials, including representatives from the Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) and municipal authorities, were also present at the meeting.
Prior to this meeting, DRM Sharma conducted a detailed inspection of Charbagh Railway Station, reviewing the progress of redevelopment initiatives. He provided critical insights and issued directives to ensure that all projects are completed within the stipulated time frame while maintaining high-quality standards.
It is noteworthy that Charbagh Railway Station is undergoing a comprehensive redevelopment and modernization plan to enhance passenger convenience.
