Conference of Ex-Servicemen Bankers Welfare Committee Held in Lucknow; Anand Rathore Elected National President

Lucknow: A conference of the All India Ex-Servicemen Bankers Welfare Committee was held on Monday at Vishwa Samvad Kendra in Jiyamau, bringing together former servicemen bankers from across the country. The event witnessed participation from delegates representing Uttarakhand, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and other states.

The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp before an image of Bharat Mata by chief guest Dheeraj Singh and other senior members, followed by a collective rendition of the national anthem by attendees.

During the conference, speakers including Dhirendra Singh, Anand Rathore, Mrigank Srivastava, and Vikas Singh Rawat deliberated on key issues affecting ex-servicemen bankers. Discussions focused on the challenges posed by new labour laws to smaller trade unions, the role of ex-servicemen bankers within parent banking unions, and the need for better coordination to ensure their welfare.

The constitution of the committee was formally presented by Harendra Chhetri from Delhi and Shankar Dutt Thapliyal from Uttarakhand. Participants, including Atul Kumar, Sanjeev, Kundan Singh, N. K. Niyogi, Radheshyam Singh, Santosh Kumar, Ashutosh Pathak, Chandar Jeet Singh, Adarsh Upadhyay, Vikas Singh Rawat, and Yogesh Dixit, shared suggestions to make the framework more inclusive and welfare-oriented.

In a key outcome of the conference, Anand Rathore was unanimously elected as the National President of the committee, while Mrigank Srivastava was appointed as Treasurer. The gathering also resolved to establish state-level committees across the country to strengthen the organisation’s outreach.

The cultural segment featured traditional folk songs from Uttarakhand performed by the team led by Shankar Dutt Thapliyal. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the newly elected National President, Anand Rathore.
