Gonda: Commissioner of the Devipatan Division, Durga Shakti Nagpal, inaugurated the newly renovated and modernized auditorium at the Commissioner’s Office campus on Thursday. The auditorium, which has undergone extensive beautification and upgradation, was formally opened by the division’s senior-most Personal Assistant Raksha Ram Verma and Peshkar Mohd. Haseeb in the presence of the Commissioner.
On the occasion, the auditorium was officially named “Maharaja Suheldev Auditorium” in honor of the legendary warrior king and national icon Maharaja Suheldev, symbolizing respect for the region’s rich historical and cultural heritage.
Following the inauguration, Commissioner Nagpal inspected the various development and beautification works carried out within the facility. She stated that naming the auditorium after Maharaja Suheldev reflects the administration’s commitment to preserving and celebrating the legacy of great historical figures who continue to inspire future generations.
She noted that the newly upgraded auditorium will serve as a modern and well-equipped venue for administrative meetings, training programmes, official conferences, and public welfare-related events. The facility has been redesigned to provide a more efficient and comfortable environment for government functions and institutional activities.
The modernization project included contemporary interior décor, enhanced lighting systems, improved seating arrangements, upgraded technical infrastructure, and other essential amenities. These improvements have significantly increased the functionality and utility of the auditorium, making it better suited to meet present-day administrative requirements.

Addressing officials during the event, Nagpal emphasized that maintaining clean, organized, and modern office premises is an important aspect of good governance. She said that a better working environment contributes to increased administrative efficiency and enables officers and staff to perform their duties more effectively.
The Commissioner also directed concerned officials to ensure regular maintenance, cleanliness, and upkeep of government buildings and office campuses so that both employees and visitors can benefit from improved facilities and a more welcoming environment.
Among those present at the inauguration were Additional Commissioner (Administration) Meenu Rana, Additional Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Yadav, Joint Development Commissioner Rakesh Kumar Pandey, along with other divisional-level officers and staff members.
Participants appreciated the transformation of the newly developed Maharaja Suheldev Auditorium and described it as a valuable addition to the administrative infrastructure of the Devipatan Division, expected to facilitate smoother and more efficient official operations in the future.
